Tyson & Mendes LLP seeks an experienced Senior Counsel in Lemon Law litigation for California. The role demands ownership of high‑stakes cases, strategy through discovery and trial, and collaboration with a leading national defense team.

You will bring 8+ years in litigation, Lemon Law defense experience, and a strong track record with complex civil matters. Flexible work options are available, with an emphasis on performance and client outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• JD from an ABA approved school.
• Must be licensed in the State of California.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition and trial preparation.
• 5+ years of Lemon Law defense matters.
• 2+ years of CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation experience.
• 2+ years of General Liability defense experience.
• Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial.
• Experience with insurance defense matters preferred.
• Experience with time management systems.
• Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision.
• Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Who You Are

• – You are a California-licensed attorney with litigation experience in Lemon Law, automotive warranty, or complex civil litigation, including matters involving the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.
• – You are comfortable managing cases from strategy through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• – Experience representing manufacturers, automotive clients, or other product defendants is strongly valued, though attorneys with consumer advocacy or CRLA backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
• – You are a strong advocate, strategic thinker, and collaborative team member who thrives in complex, high-stakes litigation.

• – Provide leadership and direction with respect to less experienced attorneys

• – JD from an ABA approved school

• – 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
• – 5+ years of litigation experience handling Lemon Law defense matters
• – 2+ years of CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation experience
• – 2+ years of General Liability defense experience
• – Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
• – Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
• – Experience with time management systems
• – Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Compensation Package

The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000-$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus ranging from $10,000 and then aggregating with $7,500 for every additional tier.

Comprehensive benefits coverage offered, including plans available at zero employee cost (average annual employer contribution for health/vision/dental/life coverage is $700-$1,700).

Employees benefit from a 401(k) program that includes a 100% match on the first 3% contributed and a 50% match on the following 4-5%.
