Job summary

SandboxAQ is seeking a Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property to join its Legal team in the United States on a remote-friendly basis. You will own the IP strategy, oversee patent portfolio development, and collaborate with scientists and engineers to identify patentable work and manage external patent firms.

As an early legal hire, you will help inform product strategy, perform freedom-to-operate analyses, and serve as the IP voice in commercial discussions, licensing, and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and development of the IP function, alongside the IP executive sponsor.
• End-to-end ownership of the patent portfolio, partnering with scientists and engineers to identify patentable work.
• Inform product strategy and launches through freedom-to-operate and clearance analyses, and act as the IP voice in commercial discussions.
