Job summary

KPMG invites applications for a Senior Counsel, KPMG Law Staffing. This client-facing role partners with US and global teams to drive opportunities, improve engagement delivery, and build strong client relationships across the tax and advisory practices.

You will lead large, multidisciplinary projects across jurisdictions, leveraging KPMG technologies and contributing to legal playbooks. The role requires a robust commercial and corporate law background and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing general commercial law contracts and corporate documents.
• Regulatory law, government contracting, employment law, financing/banking, and insurance experience is preferred.
• Self-starter with growth mindset and ability to lead legal projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of standard contract clauses and corporate governance provisions.
• Excellent MS Office skills; openness to AI and new legal technologies.

Responsibilities

• Embrace a client-facing role with US and Global teams to drive opportunities and efficiencies; maintain relationships with clients, vendors, KPMG professionals, and external law firms.
• Manage delivery of large-scale multidisciplinary, multi-jurisdictional projects; contribute to development of adjacent service offerings.
• Collaborate with diverse teams across geographies and seniority levels, including international member firms.
• Leverage technologies to draft, review, analyze, and advise on commercial and corporate law documents at scale; monitor regulatory developments for compliance.
• Support legal managed services engagements including high-volume contract review, lifecycle management, and guidance on technology contracts.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
