Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper seeks a Senior Counsel, Global Compliance, Competition & Trade to lead antitrust and sanctions compliance within the LEAG Global Compliance team. The role partners with Legal, regional Compliance, and business units to design and embed controls across Sales, Marketing, Procurement and regional teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of antitrust experience, JD or equivalent, and a track record in cross-border advisory, risk assessment, and strategic regulatory engagement.

Job description

Job Overview:

The Senior Counsel, Global Compliance, Competition & Trade reports to the General Counsel—Global Compliance and is part of the Legal Advocacy and Governance (LEAG) Global Compliance team. The role supports the design and implementation of the Company’s global antitrust and trade compliance programs, providing practical, risk-based advice and embedding best-practice controls across commercial activities.

The Senior Counsel plays a proactive role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating antitrust and trade risks. The role partners with Legal, regional Compliance, and business functions—including Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and regional/market teams—to embed controls, anticipate regulatory developments, and share best practices globally.

Responsibilities:
Antitrust, Sanctions and Export controls Strategy & Governance
  • Support development and implementation of global antitrust strategy, policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Advise on enforcement trends and regulatory developments
  • Ensure alignment with DOJ and SEC expectations, including interpretation of enforcement standards and legal risk positioning
  • Sanctions & Trade Compliance
    • Develops the global sanctions compliance program and processes, monitoring, and escalation protocols
    • Advise on restricted parties, embargoes, export controls, and trade risks from a legal enforcement and liability perspective
    • Ensure compliance with OFAC and other global sanctions regimes, including licensing and reporting
    • Maintain sanctions policies, procedures, and internal controls ensuring legal defensibility under applicable enforcement regimes
  • Regulatory Engagement
    • Support interactions with regulators and enforcement authorities, including audits and inquiries acting as legal point of escalation and subject matter counsel on enforcement matters
Risk Assessment & Advisory
  • Review pricing, distribution, and commercial practices
  • Support M&A and transactions on antitrust aspects
Controls & Program Integration
  • Embed controls into commercial processes
  • Develop guidelines and escalation protocols
  • Design and implements antitrust and sanctions compliance controls and audits
Training & Awareness
  • Deliver risk-based training programs
Monitoring & Enforcement
  • Monitor global trends and advise on risks
  • Support regulator interactions and investigations

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $183,500 - $250,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:
