Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Counsel for Datacenter Development & Infrastructure, based in Bastrop, TX, on site. The role provides expert legal guidance on acquiring land, constructing datacenter facilities, and building related utility infrastructure, including power generation and interconnections.

The position requires a JD, active license, and 7+ years of legal experience, with strong knowledge of real estate and large-scale infrastructure contracts. Travel to project sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Active licensed attorney in at least one U.S. state.
• 7+ years of legal experience.
• Experience with real estate, land use, and large-scale power/utility infrastructure development preferred.
• Familiarity with Texas regulatory environment, PUC rules, and oil/gas operations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on developing large-scale datacenter infrastructure and related facilities, land acquisition, development, and on-site power generation.
• Draft and negotiate land purchases, easements, leases, PPAs, interconnection agreements, and other transaction documents for datacenter projects.
• Advise on zoning, permitting, environmental reviews, interconnection processes, and related regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to brief regulators and authorities on applicable matters.
• Negotiate EPC agreements, vendor/Supply contracts for datacenter buildout, power facilities, and utility infrastructure.

Education

JD or foreign equivalent from ABA-accredited law school
