Hines is seeking a Counsel/Senior Counsel to support design and construction transactions and related agreements. You will advise teams across central, regional and international offices and coordinate with outside counsel on contract negotiations.

Candidates should have a JD degree, 2+ years in real estate or construction law, and be licensed to practice in the United States. Travel may be required, and strong negotiation and drafting skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Two or more years of relevant legal experience in general real estate transactions, construction transactions or construction litigation.
• Experience in transactions in different states is a plus.
• Licensed to practice law in the United States.
• Strong academic credentials from a top tier US law school.
• Experience selecting and managing outside counsel.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and focus on outcomes over output.
• Ability to travel periodically.

Aufgaben

• Negotiate and draft design, construction and related consulting contracts and purchase orders.
• Assist in RFPs and review of comments to contracts and bid solicitations.
• Assist in responding to project issues (change order requests, delay claims and defective work situations).
• Provide advice on indemnity clauses, guarantees and other provisions; review insurance and indemnity requirements in contracts and coordinate with risk management.
• Provide support to central departments and international and regional offices through the review and negotiation of vendor and other services contracts.
