Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Sr. Counsel, Compliance & Investigations to own and mature the internal investigations program across the company. You will conduct sensitive investigations, advise on outcomes, and drive improvements with cross-functional partners including Employment Legal, HR, Finance and Security.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a U.S. law school, have 7+ years of complex investigations experience, and are admitted to the bar in at least one state.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Experience at a top law firm and/or in-house legal and compliance department.
• 7+ years conducting complex and sensitive investigations.
• Bar admission in at least one state with ability to practice in residence state.
• Excellent analytical and strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end compliance investigations process, managing all aspects of Pinterest’s investigations program.
• Advise on outcomes, conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements.
• Mentor and oversee junior/contract investigators and integrate AI tech in investigations.
• Identify trends to drive fairness and consistent program application.
• Provide updates to senior management, compliance leadership and the Board as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with evolving whistleblower laws and regulations in investigations.
• Support audits, information requests, and external investigations as needed.
• Offer counsel on legal/regulatory issues in investigations and compliance.
