  • Provide high level legal advice and prepare memoranda, contracts, and litigation documents.
  • Supervise budget reporting and advise lines of business on best practices to minimize legal risk.

Functions as legal expert in one or more defined subject matter areas and/or specific business lines. Provides high level legal advice to specific business area(s), may prepare resolutions, contracts, memoranda to management, litigation documents and forms and participates in major legal actions. Foresees and protects the Company against legal risks.The Senior Counsel will be part of the U.S. Civil Litigation legal team. Among other things, the Counsel will manage an array of litigation matters across all businesses of the bank. The Counsel will identify, assess and mitigate potential legal and regulatory risk on a variety of topics including consumer protection, fraud and other matters.
