Job summary

Authentic Brands Group, New York, seeks a Senior Counsel for a maternity-cover role focused on licensing and IP matters across its fashion and lifestyle brands. You will draft, review and negotiate key deals, balancing business needs with risk management and working closely with business development, brand management and marketing teams.

Requires 3–5+ years of experience, a NY-licensed JD, and proficiency with MS Office and AI tools.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience in consumer products, lifestyle/fashion, media/entertainment, marketing/production, or tech.
J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and NY license to practice law.
Data/privacy law experience a plus but not required.
Demonstrated ownership and accountability for projects and tasks.
Proficiency with MS Office and AI tools.

Responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate IP licensing and related fashion/marketing agreements.
Coordinate with business development, brand management, and marketing/production teams.
Help ensure timely achievement of targets while upholding company principles and laws.
Review and draft trademark license, talent/influencer, production, and vendor agreements.
Assist in-house and outside counsel with day-to-day legal matters.
