Provide quality legal services on a timely and cost-efficient basis. Provide legal and tax advice to business partners regarding life insurance and annuity products issues by the company, along with providing guidance to support the proper administration of the products. Provide counsel on legal and tax regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures, best practices, and strategies for managing risk.

What you do:

• Analyze business plans and initiatives to identify legal risks, advise business partners on risk mitigation and best practices. Partner with Operations management in identifying and containing legal risks and developing best practices.
• Provide timely tax advice and guidance on day-to-day legal issues and projects involving new business, inforce administrations and claim processing.
• Collaborate with other attorneys including operations, distribution, product and litigation and other staff within legal and compliance.
• Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
  
  

What you bring:

• 8-10 years of experience required: Law firm, governmental or administrative agency and/or insurance or financial services company.
• Advanced degree required: JD, LLM specializing in taxation.
• You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
  
  

Range $178,000 - $267,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
