Job summary

Tyson & Mendes is seeking a Senior Counsel with 8+ years of insurance defense experience to join our Philadelphia office. This remote role offers autonomy to run matters while collaborating with seasoned trial attorneys for strategy and perspective.

The Philadelphia team is led by Maureen Daley and Chris Kelly, providing leadership on a range of complex civil defense matters and opportunities to own cases, develop strategy, depose, and prepare for trial.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Active Pennsylvania Bar license
• PA and NJ dual admission strongly preferred
• Significant independent case-management experience
• Strong discovery, deposition, mediation, and motion practice experience
• Trial experience strongly preferred
• Experience with general liability, premises liability, trucking/commercial auto, professional liability, construction, medical malpractice, or similar defense matters
• Strong client and carrier relationships and communication skills
• Prior billing experience
• Ability to independently develop strategy and move matters forward

• 8+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
