Jobot is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its Dallas litigation team, handling a sophisticated 3rd-party liability docket with a strong emphasis on insurance defense. The role offers hybrid work and a competitive base with an excellent bonus structure.

You will independently manage matters, develop strategy, take depositions, and guide complex cases through trial readiness, coordinating with carriers and clients to drive favorable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong background in third-party insurance defense.
• Experience handling general liability, premises liability, transportation/trucking, construction or other complex casualty litigation.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, mediation, and case strategy experience.
• Trial experience is highly valued.
• Active Texas Bar license.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage third-party defense matters from initial assignment through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and settlement opportunities.
• Draft and argue substantive motions and handle court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives.
• Attend mediations and negotiate settlements.
• Work directly with insurance carriers and other sophisticated clients.
• Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials as appropriate.
• Supervise and collaborate with associates, paralegals, experts, and support staff.
• Maintain clear, strategic communication with clients throughout the life of each matter.
