Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Counsel to join our growing team! The right candidate will be a client service‑oriented attorney who is ready to tackle new challenges at a global company that is growing very rapidly.

This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—includ­ing New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in the U.S.
• Minimum 5+ years of meaningful work experience in law firm and in-house
• Experience at an advertising/marketing agency or similar business is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of advertising regulations, SaaS and AI matters
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration across marketing, HR, finance, analytics and AI

Responsibilities

• Support and advise on commercial legal matters with a focus on advertising, marketing, and digital media.
• Draft and negotiate complex client and vendor commercial and licensing agreements.
• Proactively handle legal requests as the first point of contact for client or vendor negotiations.
• Provide ongoing counsel on commercial transactions, IP, data privacy, and advertising regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Support and advise on commercial legal matters with a focus on advertising, marketing, and digital media.
• Draft and negotiate complex client and vendor commercial and licensing agreements.
• Proactively handle legal requests as the first point of contact for client or vendor negotiations, employment concerns and general legal matters.
• Provide ongoing legal counsel on commercial transactions, intellectual property laws, data and privacy regulations, and applicable advertising regulations.

What You Should Have:

• JD from accredited law school licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction in which you work.
• Minimum of 5+ years' meaningful work experience in a combination of law firm and in-house; in-house experience at an advertising/marketing agency, media agency or similar business a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of advertising technology, integrated marketing, market research and digital media required.
• Experience in SaaS and AI solutions, digital content production, influencer, and social media matters.
• Solid understanding of advertising regulations.
• Conversational savvy across broad business functions including marketing, HR, finance, analytics and AI.
• Experience with intellectual property matters including copyright, trademark, and licensing matters.
• Experience reviewing and clearing content for creative assets preferred.

Pay Range: $160,000-$180,000
