Job summary

Emerson in Ohio seeks a senior Program Cost Manager within Sourcing to lead should-cost and could-cost modeling across product programs, enabling fact-based sourcing decisions and disciplined cost management throughout the lifecycle.

You will partner with Strategic Sourcing to support supplier negotiations, RFQs, and contracting activities, driving cost-out opportunities and margin improvement with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in sourcing or cost engineering in manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in should-cost and clean-sheet costing.

Responsibilities

• Lead should-cost and could-cost models for key commodities and product programs.
• Support supplier negotiations and RFQs with fact-based cost analysis.
• Identify cost drivers and opportunities for margin expansion.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to validate cost assumptions.
• Provide cost impact analysis for total cost of ownership.
• Track cost performance versus targets and coordinate recovery actions.
• Act as the sourcing cost authority for assigned programs.
