Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of workplace, commercial, and capital improvement projects across North America. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, change management, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include estimating change orders, presenting final cost plans, reviewing estimates with design teams and GCs, and ensuring data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in construction cost management or quantity surveying.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, and financial controls across multiple projects.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects.
• Experience supporting workplace, tenant improvement, renovation, or capital projects preferred.
• RICS accreditation is a plus; strong procurement and VE/Cost management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning including final cost plan presentations.
• Review cost estimates with design services team and GC during development.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy for contractors.
• Communicate with project teams and stakeholders to update cost estimates.
• Prepare cost-related executive summaries and comments on submissions.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information for discussions and decisions.
• Drive project priorities based on cost impact and value engineering.
• Lead cost management across multiple concurrent projects and conduct post-contract variances.
• Manage cost checks, valuations, and timely reporting to client.
