Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior finance professional to own product cost and launch unit economics within the New Glenn Finance team. You will define cost methodologies, maintain BOM-based models, and translate data into actionable insights for leadership across finance and operations.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in product cost or FP&A in manufacturing or capital-intensive environments, strong GAAP knowledge, and a proven record of building reusable analytical assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or engineering with analytical focus.
• 8+ years in product cost, FP&A, or operations finance in a capital-intensive setting.
• Strong GAAP foundation and ability to trace data to financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Own product cost and launch economics reporting end-to-end.
• Maintain BOM-based cost models and reflect manufacturing variance.
• Direct cost accounting in partnership with accounting team.
• Develop dashboards and analyses to reveal cost drivers.
• Link transaction data to program and company financials for leadership.
• Apply AI tooling with controls and validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations on cost drivers.
• Mentor junior analysts and raise analytical standards.
