Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to develop and manage cost estimates for federal facilities in Kauai, Hawaii. You will analyze scope, schedules, and logistics to provide defensible cost comparisons for repairs and restoration, with on-site presence in Kauai and potential per diem.

The role requires extensive experience in construction cost estimation and collaboration with engineers and contractors to validate pricing under evolving site conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of developing construction cost estimates for complex facility or infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of conceptual, detailed, and independent cost estimates for facility and infrastructure repairs.
• Develop quantity takeoffs, labor and equipment assumptions, unit pricing, and subcontractor pricing analyses.
• Assess scope, schedule, access, logistics, escalation, and contingency impacts on project cost.
• Review drawings, field reports, repair narratives, and contractor proposals for cost completeness.
• Document estimate bases, assumptions, exclusions, risks, and changes between estimate versions.
• Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, schedulers, and subcontractors to validate scope and pricing.
