Job summary

Sunland Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to support design-side estimating across a portfolio of major capital projects in Texas, including Houston, Austin, or San Antonio.

You will develop comprehensive estimates for early planning through construction documents, with a focus on electrical infrastructure and integrated technologies. The role requires 10+ years of experience, proficiency with CostOS/PlanSwift/RSMeans, and strong collaboration with architects, engineers, and owner

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of cost estimating in commercial/infrastructure
• Ability to develop multidisciplinary estimates independently
• Experience across design stages with incomplete information
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction and power distribution

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates from planning through construction documents
• Prepare ROM, parametric, assembly-based, and quantity takeoffs
• Evaluate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical systems for integrated estimates
• Provide estimating expertise for electrical distribution, low-voltage, building controls
• Analyze drawings and specs to establish budgets and cost risks
• Evaluate labor, materials, equipment, productivity, and regional market conditions
• Participate in design reviews, VE, and budget validation
• Prepare independent estimates and reconcile with contractors
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating benchmarks
• Prepare cost presentations for internal teams and clients
