Job Details

We are on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Cost Estimator. This exciting role will allow you to showcase your expertise in cost estimation and contribute significantly to our projects' profitability and success. You will be a key player in our organization, working closely with our project management team to ensure accurate cost estimation and budgeting. This role will require a high level of technical knowledge, industry experience, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed cost estimates across all CSI divisions, including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs, and equipment costs.
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information necessary for cost estimation.
• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
• Presenting estimates and conducting cost comparison analysis to senior management and clients.
• Tracking changes in design, construction methods, and industry trends to adjust cost estimates accordingly.
• Preparing cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Implementing cost tracking and reporting systems to monitor project costs against budgets.
• Assisting in the preparation of bids, RFPs, and RFQs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Cost Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in estimating costs across all of the CSI divisions.
• Proficiency in quantity take-offs and cost estimating software.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification in cost estimation or project management is a plus.
