Job summary

Evonik Corporation is seeking a Cost Engineer to act as the owner-representative Project Controller for capital projects. You will own budget stewardship, cost integration, and cash-flow control, while ensuring leadership has a clear view of financial performance.

Responsibilities include developing cost baselines, managing EACs, and delivering monthly cost reports, KPIs, and executive dashboards. Strong collaboration with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and EPC/EPCM teams is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10+ years in project controls, project controlling, or cost management for large capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and scheduling fundamentals.
• Experience managing project budgets, EAC, cost forecasting, and financial performance.
• Proven expertise with change management processes, contingency planning, and cost control systems.
• Experience in owner-representative, EPC, or EPCM environments with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain the project cost baseline, CBS, budgets, forecasts, EAC, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project costs by tracking commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and variance analysis; identify cost drivers and risks.
• Lead cost change management, document and integrate approved scope changes into budgets and forecasts.
• Establish, monitor, and report on contingency and management reserve usage.
• Consolidate and analyze cost information from Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Contractors for reporting.
• Develop and deliver monthly cost reports, dashboards, KPIs, and executive presentations.
