The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field and at least five years in cost management for construction projects, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experiencedCost Controllerlooking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment

As Cost Controller, you will be involved with:

• Implement,administerandmaintaincost control system and procedures to track project budgets, commitments,expendituresand forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value
• Assistin the preparation and review of cost estimates
• Provide cost information to support decision and alternativeselection
• Evaluate and analyze fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
• Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position.
• Assistin the development,validationand maintenance of the project schedule.
• Assistin developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value.
• Build intricate spreadsheets to enable fast andaccuratedata manipulation of large datasets.
• Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs.
• Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and create a clean audit trail.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction.
• Minimum of 5years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry.
• Experience supportingcost management on medium orlarge sizedconstruction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Goodknowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management,and value engineering.
• Strongcommunicationskills.
