Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst for a Dallas-based manufacturing company with ~70 years in business. The role oversees/audits standard and actual labor and overhead in the Ross ERP system and calculates pricing for products with a focus on labor and overhead rates.

Qualifications

• BBA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with 2 years in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Excel

Responsibilities

• Review all jobs ready for close and investigate variances that are outside tolerances. Final close all jobs on a daily basis.
• Review daily labor allocated to jobs vs hours recorded through the payroll timekeeping system to ensure accurate timekeeping.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by properly accounting for bulk ingredients to record inventory and spoilage.
• Calculate pricing for new products including determining machine and labor rates based on pack and batch sizes.
• Coordinate with operations/floor managers on process flow, scrap and other production factors affecting pricing.
• Assist in existing product price reviews and new pricing rollout.
• Perform weekly random inventory cycle counts to verify balances.
• Obtain and analyze data from Factory MES and provide actionable reports to operations.
• Analyze and update labor standard rates in the ERP system.
• Prepare daily and monthly labor productivity reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the controller.
