Job summary

CFS is seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to own the cost accounting function in a growing manufacturing environment. You will develop standard costing methodologies, partner with operations, and drive cost accuracy across labor, overhead, and inventory.

This role influences budgeting, forecasting, pricing decisions, and month-end close, with broad visibility across manufacturing and finance. Candidates should have 5–7 years in cost accounting and strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5–7 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining standard costing systems.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP/inventory reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance cost accounting processes, documentation, and controls.
• Develop, maintain, and validate standard costs, including labor and overhead rates.
• Analyze inventory valuation, movement, and manufacturing cost variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and new product cost estimation activities.
• Manage month-end costing and inventory close activities, including reconciliations and journal entry reviews.
