Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to lead full stack cost accounting across select product lines and sites. You’ll ensure standard costing accuracy, perform variance analyses, and support the year-end close with inventory reconciliations.

The role emphasizes strong internal controls, collaboration with Operations and Engineering, and readiness for potential IPO activities. Prior government contracting experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with standard costing in complex, low-volume, high-dollar environments.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/CAS government contracting cost principles.
• Experience with internal controls and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform and improve standard costing to ensure accurate product costing and margin reporting.
• Conduct work order review, variance analysis, and closure for designated product lines and sites.
• Support cost accounting close processes: cost roll-ups, absorption reporting, and inventory/WIP reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and remediate deficiencies.
• Administer physical and cycle count programs to value inventory accurately.
• Interface with external auditors on cost accounting during audits.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to analyze manufacturing performance and cost drivers.
• Support pricing, cost proposals, and audit requirements for government contracts (FAR/CAS).
• Contribute to IPO readiness, including audit prep and SOX-compliant controls.
• Prepare cost analyses and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Pursue continuous improvement and automation across financial processes.
