Job summary

CFS in the Greater Pittsburgh area is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to own costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances. You will drive standard costing accuracy, analyze cost structures, and partner across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to improve profitability.

This role offers hands-on ownership of BOMs, routings, and cost reporting, with SAP/SAP S/4HANA exposure and opportunities to optimize reporting systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variances, and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze standard costs, BOMs, routings, product costing, and manufacturing cost structures.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, scrap, yield, and production variances to identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee inventory valuation, reserves, reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
• Support month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, and operational financial reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance on cost savings, productivity initiatives, and business decisions.
