Job summary

Johnson Health Tech in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Accountant to perform advanced general accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close support, and financial analysis. Under the direction of the Controller, you will work with cross-functional teams, support audits, cost accounting, and internal reporting, with no supervisory responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive general accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong analytical and data reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly close.
• Maintain assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
• Analyze financial activity and investigate fluctuations to ensure accuracy and completeness of results.
• Assist with cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, standard cost maintenance, and variance analysis.
• Review and analyze cost and expense trends and variances
• Support preparation of internal financial reports and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
• Assist with audit requests, internal control documentation, and compliance activities.
• Support process standardization and documentation within the accounting function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and data accuracy.
• Comply with company procedures and internal controls.
• Contribute to special projects and system or process improvement initiatives as assigned.
• Other projects as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role requires onsite attendance five days per week in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels. This role requires onsite attendance and is not a hybrid or remote position. Occasional work-related travel may be required.
