Job summary

PVH - PVHardware in Houston seeks a Sr. Cost Accountant to drive manufacturing cost control, evaluate variances, and oversee inventory and budget tracking.

You will partner with the Finance and Production teams to provide data-driven insights, support monthly closings, and contribute to annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in progressive financial and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP controlling module.

Responsibilities

• Perform material ledger and product costing analyses; maintain standard costing frameworks to ensure accurate manufacturing valuations.
• Monitor and control manufacturing expenses; conduct variance analyses to explain deviations between actual and standard costs.
• Oversee stock control workflows; reconcile physical inventory with the ledger to mitigate shrinkage and optimize working capital.
• Track, evaluate, and report on plant financial KPIs and performance indicators for leadership.
• Participate in monthly end closing activities including journal entries, balance sheet and income statement variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Collaborate on the development and execution of the factory annual budget and rolling forecasts; track performance against budget.

Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant that will be responsible for manufacturing cost control, helping to drive data-informed decision-making for leadership through analytical oversight, variance evaluation, and robust inventory and budget tracking.

PVH - PVHardware is the third-largest solar tracker supplier globally and is committed to becoming the industry leader. Our product range includes solar trackers, fixed structures, and SCADA systems designed for utility-scale solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform material ledger and product costing analyses; maintain and optimize standard costing frameworks to ensure accurate manufacturing valuations.
• Monitor and control manufacturing expenses (both fixed and variable costs), conducting thorough variance analyses to identify and explain deviations between actual and standard costs.
• Oversee stock control workflows, lead perpetual inventory analyses, and reconcile physical inventory with the ledger to mitigate shrinkage and optimize working capital.
• Track, evaluate, and report on key plant financial metrics, KPIs, and operational performance indicators to drive data-informed decision-making for leadership.
• Active participation for all monthly end closing activities including journal entries, balance sheet and income statement variance analysis and reporting, compliance reporting and account reconciliation review.
• Collaborate on the development and execution of the factory annual budget and rolling forecasts; proactively track performance against budget to manage operational spend and flag financial risks.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years in progressive financial and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Controlling SAP module knowledge
