Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a corrosion engineer to lead and support the corrosion control program for Division 1 assets across CA, NM, AZ, and TX, including policy development and technical reviews.

This role sits within KM's Operations Support Group and reports to the Manager-Corrosion Control with dotted-line responsibilities to Division 1 Operations Management. You will mentor field personnel, ensure consistent application of corrosion procedures, and provide expert technical support for

Qualifications

BS in an Engineering or Science discipline; 5+ years corrosion control experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reports and training.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams in corrosion programs.
Willingness to understand and implement company processes, procedures, and standards.
Proven project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Provide corrosion control program direction and oversight for Division 1 assets.
Facilitate application of corrosion control procedures across pipelines and storage assets.
Mentor operations staff and provide technical review and support.
Develop and maintain corrosion standards and training materials; participate in program reviews.
Provide expert input on remedial actions, surveys, and CP/ coating systems.
Engage with regulators and audits to represent corrosion program.
