Job summary

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Supervising Registered Nurse II at Salinas Valley State Prison to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care within a correctional setting.

Under the Chief Nurse Executive, the SRN II plans, assigns, supervises, and evaluates work, enforces policies, and participates in the Complete Care Model to promote safety and wellness across the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required prior to appointment.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in a clinical or correctional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of nursing and other staff in a service line.
• Disseminate and monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
• Resolve personnel issues and set goals for self and others.
• Ensure continuity of quality patient care and support the Complete Care Model.
