Job summary

California Correctional Health Care Services seeks a Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (CF) Specialist, to provide expert psychological consultation within Pelican Bay State Prison. This role advises institution leadership and coordinates with statewide Quality teams to enhance mental health services.

Qualifications

• License: valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
• Education: Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an institution meeting the California criteria.
• Licensure: must secure a CA license within three years if not licensed at appointment.
• Experience: one year in CA state service as Psychologist or two years postdoctoral experience in psychology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical systems expert and provide psychological consultation related to health care performance management programs.
• Advise institution executives and liaise with statewide Quality Officer and Quality Management staff and CQO.
• Collaborate with other stakeholder groups to support effective mental health services within the institution.
