CoreCivic is seeking a Senior Correctional Officer to supervise the shift and support security operations in a secure facility. You will oversee Correctional Officers, enforce procedures, and help protect inmate rights while maintaining safety and order.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years in criminal justice (one in a supervisory capacity), basic pre-service training, and a valid driver's license; age 18+. Compensation is $25.56 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Two years experience in a criminal justice field, preferably supervisory.
• Completion of basic pre-service officer training and, where applicable, state license.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision of officers and inmates on the shift, and evaluate according to facility and corporate policy.
• Conduct inspections of housing and general use areas to ensure standards, procedures and guidelines are followed; direct staff and inmate resources to correct problems.
• Assist in supervising internal and external security; routinely inspect posts to confirm alertness and security.
