Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks a Travel Consultant to deliver exceptional service to defense and government travelers. You will arrange complex domestic and international itineraries, ensuring adherence to travel policies while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the traveler experience.

You will collaborate with teammates to mentor others and maintain high service standards, drawing on extensive GDS knowledge and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a corporate travel consultant.
• Native GDS expertise with Sabre.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail in travel planning and policy compliance.
• Strong focus on client service excellence and proactive traveler needs.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers (individuals and groups).
• Analyze travel options and anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services.
• Book domestic and international business travel (air, road, rail, accommodations).
• Work with GDS Sabre to issue itineraries and tickets.
• Ensure compliance with travel policy, provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Use positive telephone service techniques and handle special requests.
• Collaborate with team to coach and provide feedback to improve service levels.
