Job summary

Adeia is seeking a Senior Corporate Strategy Manager to partner with the Corporate Strategy organization, leading opportunity qualification, business case development, market assessment, and planning support. This role drives rigorous analysis and executive-ready insights for strategic decisions.

You will develop financial models, coordinate across Media, Semiconductor, Growth, and International Markets, and shape licensing and growth initiatives in a hybrid, US-remote setup.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related analytical discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic finance, management consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or related analytical roles, including IP licensing or patent monetization.
  • Preferred experience in Technology industry and IP licensing or patent monetization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead opportunity qualification efforts across Media, Semiconductor, Growth, and International Markets initiatives.
  • Develop qualification assessments covering business overview, financial opportunity size, portfolio relevance, licensing history, and sales enablement.
  • Maintain and improve the Corporate Strategy qualification framework and repository.
  • Identify and surface key risks associated with prospective opportunities.
  • Develop strategic business cases, investment logic, and opportunity assessments for licensing verticals and growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain financial models supporting opportunity sizing, pricing, market attractiveness, and prioritization.
  • Support TAM/SAM/SOM development across core and adjacent markets.
  • Partner with Strategy Leads to ensure assumptions are consistent and decision-ready.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and briefing materials for CSO and ELT.

Position Summary

The Senior Corporate Strategy Manager serves as a core analytical and strategic partner to Adeia’s Corporate Strategy organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategic Insights & Analytics, this role leads opportunity qualification, business case development, market assessment, and strategic planning support across Corporate Strategy. The role provides the foundational research, financial analysis, and strategic insights required to support market prioritization, licensing program development, strategic planning, and executive decision-making.

The role serves as the primary analytical execution resource for the Corporate Strategy organization, ensuring strategic opportunities are evaluated consistently, rigorously, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Qualification & Assessment
  • Lead opportunity qualification efforts across Media, Semiconductor, Growth, and International Markets initiatives under the direction of the Strategy Leads.
  • Develop qualification assessments covering business overview, financial opportunity size, portfolio relevance, litigation and licensing history, and sales enablement considerations.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Corporate Strategy opportunity qualification framework, standards, and repository.
  • Identify and surface key strategic, financial, and execution risks associated with prospective opportunities.
Business Case Development & Financial Analysis
  • Develop strategic business cases, investment logic, and opportunity assessments supporting new licensing verticals, growth initiatives, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models supporting opportunity sizing, pricing analysis, market attractiveness assessments, and strategic prioritization.
  • Support TAM/SAM/SOM development across core and adjacent market verticals.
  • Partner with Strategy Leads and Strategic Insights & Analytics to ensure assumptions are consistent, supportable, and decision-ready.
Strategic Planning & Executive Support
  • Support annual strategic planning and long-range planning through analytical research, assumption development, and scenario analysis.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI in support of opportunity qualification, strategic planning, market intelligence, and business case development.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, and supporting analyses for the CSO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Translate complex market, financial, technical, and competitive analyses into concise, decision-oriented recommendations.
  • Support CEO-sponsored strategic initiatives and other special projects as assigned.
  • Conduct market, competitive, technology, and ecosystem research across Media, Semiconductor, Growth, and International Markets initiatives.
  • Develop actionable insights that inform opportunity qualification, business case development, strategic planning, and decision-making.
  • Support management of market research vendors, analyst relationships, and external data sources.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director, Strategic Insights & Analytics to maintain analytical standards, methodologies, assumptions, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related analytical discipline.
  • Required: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic finance, management consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or related analytical roles, including at least one or more years focused on IP licensing or patent monetization.
  • Preferred if above experience is within Technology industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, Economics, Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications in finance, analytics, strategy, or project management are beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business cases, financial models, and executive-level presentations.
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessment.
  • Background supporting executive decision-making and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in IP-driven, technology, Media, or Semiconductor licensing businesses
  • Direct experience with patent monetization or IP licensing programs, or patent portfolio strategy is a strong plus.

Location: Remote US

National Range: $150,000-210,000

Bonus Target: 15% of annualized base pay

Restricted Stock Units Target (as a % of annualized base pay): 60%

The base compensation is based on the primary work location, as ranges are location-specific. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications.
