Job summary

Hodgson Russ LLP, a leading AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an attorney to join its Corporate & Securities practice in Buffalo, Albany, Saratoga Springs, Rochester, New York City, or Palm Beach offices.

The ideal candidate will lead complex M&A transactions, advise on governance matters, and help grow client engagements while mentoring junior lawyers. A portable book of business is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financings, and other strategic corporate transactions.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand engagements.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to deliver integrated legal solutions for complex transactions and regulatory challenges.
• Counsel clients on corporate governance, fiduciary duties, entity formation, restructuring, succession planning, and compliance obligations.
• Supervise, mentor and develop associates and counsel within the Corporate & Securities practice group.
• Contribute to firm leadership initiatives, strategic planning, and business development efforts.
