Job summary

The Sr. Corporate and Foundation Engagement Officer at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management leads fundraising for corporate and foundation partnerships, partnering with the Dean and school leadership to drive investments.

The role focuses on donor engagement, portfolio management, and collaboration across the UMF and university-wide teams to advance philanthropy and sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 6+ years fundraising or related experience.
• Ability to lead with entrepreneurial spirit and pursue improvements.
• Strong accountability and empathetic mentorship skills.
• Knowledge of goal-setting frameworks and performance metrics.
• Growth mindset across deliverables and responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work evenings/weekends with a valid Minnesota driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising & Donor Engagement: cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Serve as philanthropic advisor to corporate partners translating priorities into fundable initiatives.
• Develop a blended portfolio and coordinate across units to create big‑idea opportunities.
• Oversee fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with Foundation standards and vision.
• Collaborate with team on donor strategies and maintain accurate reporting.
