Job summary

Veritiv Corporation in Atlanta offers a hybrid Senior Financial Analyst position focused on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. You will develop models, analyze data, and prepare executive-ready reports to inform strategic decisions.

The role requires 3–5 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and ERP systems, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders. CPA/CFA preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably in a corporate finance or FP&A role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.
  • CPA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead planning and forecasting processes for areas of responsibility; responsible for inputting and validating inputs into the Hyperion Planning application.

HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR ATLANTA OFFICE

Job Purpose: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial and business information and analysis in support of the company's reporting, forecasting and planning processes.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Extract and analyze financial, economic and operational data to support activity-based modeling and profitability pro formas for domestic customers. Provide insights and recommendations to business leaders on restructuring existing business as well as future business opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess business performance and evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare insightful reports and presentations for executive leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
  • Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
  • Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required.

  • Bachelor's Degree
