The Role
Join a dynamic in-house legal team at QuidelOrtho an innovative medical device diagnostics company. You will play a key part in supporting a wide range of transactional matters, focusing on complex agreements. You will be responsible for providing strategic legal support to R&D, Business Units, and Business Development teams on licensing, OEM, manufacturing, and other commercial transactions.
You must be able to collaborate across cross-functional teams and deliver risk-informed legal guidance that supports innovation while ensuring compliance. You will also contribute to internal training initiatives, participate in legal and business project meetings, and support colleagues across legal, compliance, and privacy functions. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact and help the company properly structure its deals for successful development and commercialization.
This position is remote eligible with HQ in San Diego, CA. Candidates local to San Diego is preferred for some onsite presence.

Physical Demands
No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. Approximately 55-60% of the time is in meetings, working with various teams, talking on the phone, or drafting and sending correspondence. Approximately 40-45% of the time is spent at the desk on a computer, doing analytical work, drafting, or reviewing documents. Occasional travel required. Travel may include airplane, automobile travel, and overnight hotel stays.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $215,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
