Job summary

Core Specialty is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across the organization with a primary focus on procurement and commercial agreements. You will draft, review, negotiate and interpret vendor, technology, outsourcing, and services contracts while partnering with Procurement, Finance, IT, and Compliance to balance risk and business objectives.

The role will also assist with M&A matters and help develop templates, playbooks, and standard contracting

Qualifications

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• State bar admission with ability to obtain in-house admission as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years’ in-house or outside counsel experience on contracts and procurement.
• Experience drafting, reviewing procurement agreements.
• Experience in regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret procurement and other commercial agreements.
• Advise cross-functional teams on legal risk in vendor relationships.
• Assist with M&A matters as needed.
• Develop, implement, and maintain contract templates and policies.
• Manage external counsel when specialized expertise is required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and corporate policies.
