Job summary

Longbridge Financial in Paramus, NJ, seeks a Senior Contracts Counsel to manage transactional work across corporate contracts, loan products including HECMs, and regulatory compliance. You will review, draft, negotiate, and organize recordkeeping while guiding partners on risk and terms.

Requirements include a JD, active US bar, and 3+ years in residential mortgage banking legal/compliance; reverse mortgage or HELOC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• JD required with active US bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years’ residential mortgage banking experience in legal/compliance.
• Reverse mortgage experience or HELOC experience, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate transactional agreements and contracts, including NDA, MSA, SOW, DPA, and SAAS.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws across mortgage products.
• Partner with business units to standardize templates and negotiation parameters.
• Maintain contract lifecycle, intake, drafting, and recordkeeping.
• Advise sales on risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
