Job summary

Mercor is seeking senior corporate law professionals to build evaluation tasks for AI systems operating in complex corporate transactions and governance contexts. The work spans major M&A, capital markets, and governance matters.

Experts will navigate two jurisdictional tracks—US (Delaware GC Law, SEC regulations) and International (UK Companies Act 2006, EU directives)—and draft reference materials and rubrics for senior corporate lawyers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as corporate attorney or GC at a major law firm, investment bank, or large corporation.
• Direct ownership of M&A transactions, governance matters, or securities filings.
• Fluency with corporate law tooling and regulatory approvals (SEC review, antitrust/HSR).
• JD with bar admission or international equivalent (Solicitor or Qualified Lawyer).

Responsibilities

• Construct corporate law scenarios for large-scale M&A and complex governance.
• Build tasks across M&A, deal structuring, securities, and corporate governance.
• Develop legal scenarios using tools like Westlaw, Lexis, Intralinks, Datasite.
• Produce reference memoranda, transaction documents, and client/regulatory narratives.
• Write rubrics to distinguish authentic corporate law judgment from recall.
