At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

Join our team

GoDaddy seeks an experienced attorney to join its global litigation team. The role offers significant litigation responsibilities, driving and executing litigation strategy at the case-level and at the portfolio-level while managing outside counsel. As Senior Counsel – Global Litigation, you will be responsible for managing a diverse docket of domestic and international disputes; advising on litigation risks related to emerging legal developments, business decisions, and initiatives; and proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to support business growth. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Sr. Counsel - Litigation.

What you'll get to do...

  • Serve as a legal partner and trusted advisor to the Sr. Director, Sr. Counsel - Litigation on global litigation risk across all business areas
  • Help manage GoDaddy’s global litigation docket, including selecting and directing external counsel within agreed policies and budget and driving day-to-day strategies on certain matters
  • Help develop and implement a cohesive global litigation strategy aligned with business objectives while adapting to local legal variances
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on litigation risk assessment in M&A transactions, product development, and strategy initiatives
  • Partner with public policy and public relations teams on litigation-related matters and risk mitigation strategies

Your experience should include...

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 6+ years of litigation experience in private practice and/or an in-house corporate litigation department
  • Significant litigation experience, including managing teams handling complex litigation and trial experience
  • Strong decision-making and business advisory experience
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • The ability to anticipate risks and develop proactive, pragmatic solutions

  • Expertise in technology, particularly internet, domain registrar and web hosting industry-related litigation
  • Experience in a multinational public technology company

GoDaddy's target compensation is determined based on your location and varies based on an individual's qualifications, skills and experience at the time of the offer. For this role, our targeted base pay ranges for new hires in each US Group are:

  • Group 1: $127,000.00 – $191,000.00
  • Group 2: $142,500.00 – $213,500.00
  • Group 3: $151,200.00 – $226,800.00
  • Group 4: $165,000.00 – $248,000.00
