Job summary

Versant Media is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting to support monthly and quarterly close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX.

The role collaborates with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and FP&A and supports ERP and AI initiatives. The candidate will help improve close procedures, assist with intercompany activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting across corporate entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting, financial reporting, audit, or public accounting experience.
• Experience in a publicly traded company, multinational organization, or Big 4/public accounting environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• Hybrid role requiring three days per week in Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchase order and invoice-related accounting activities, including reviewing accruals and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries and monthly accruals for corporate activities.
• Own assigned reconciliations with complete support and timely certification.
• Conduct balance sheet and P&L variance analyses for corporate reporting.
• Coordinate with offshore team to review journal entries and reconciliation quality and provide guidance.
