Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant based in our Atlanta office. This role reports to the Senior Manager Accounting and requires in-office work two to three days per week.

You will partner with the finance team and senior leaders to produce monthly and quarterly reports for companywide reporting, analysis, and planning. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and a proactive, adaptable work style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
• Five years of post-graduate experience in a corporate accounting function mandatory.
• Experience in a publicly traded company or reporting to a UK parent is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP Standards.
• CPA or working towards certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Experience utilizing MS D365 or similar ERP system is preferred.
• Experience in a professional services or consulting environment is a plus.
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley reporting standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and documentation of processes to maintain internal controls.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial information, including journals, reconciliations, and clearing accounts.
• Perform SOX control testing and provide documentation to support compliance.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and other GL accounts.
• Ensure timely recording and payment of monthly dues, rents, leases and property taxes.
• Support financial statement preparation including consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
• Assist external audits with timely information disclosures.
• Lead projects and process improvements within the accounting group, including system upgrades and testing.
• Research and resolve reconciling items and communicate with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, reconciliation and analysis.
