Job summary

Bayview Asset Management, LLC is seeking an Accountant to oversee key accounting and financial reporting for the firm and its affiliates in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on the monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring GAAP compliance across multiple entities.

You will prepare management reports, coordinate with FP&A and Tax, and support internal and external audits. A CPA or advanced degree is preferred, with 3–5 years of relevant experience in asset management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and explain variances.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and management reports.
• Record and reconcile daily cash transactions and intercompany activity.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Treasury, Operations, Legal, Tax for support.
• Assist audits and respond to auditor inquiries; support annual audits.
• Document accounting conclusions for new transactions and guidance.
• Identify risks and opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Support special projects and ad hoc reporting for senior management.
• Mentor junior staff as applicable.
