Job summary

A leading technology firm in California is seeking a highly experienced Senior Core Network Engineer to lead the design and implementation of its carrier-grade network infrastructure. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in ISP or telecommunications environments, with expertise in Adtran and Arista platforms, as well as strong operational troubleshooting capabilities. Qualifications

• Deep expertise in OSPF and/or IS‑IS.
• Experience with ISP edge routing and peering design.
• Experience designing high‑availability and redundant architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of carrier-grade IP/MPLS networks.
• Engineer scalable BGP-based edge and peering infrastructure.
• Support upstream providers, IX peering, and transit relationships.

Skills

Adtran platforms (OLT, aggregation, access equipment)

Arista switches and routers

BGP (iBGP, eBGP, route reflectors)

MPLS (L2VPN/L3VPN)

Strong troubleshooting skills

Education

7–10+ years of experience in a carrier, ISP, or telecommunications environment
