Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software-development experience; advanced degree holders may have fewer years of experience.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or systems programming language (Java, C++, C#, Go).
• Experience building or operating scalable, highly available distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with system-level testing and automation (performance, load, reliability, fault-injection).
• Understanding of distributed-systems concepts, data structures, algorithms, OS, networking, and secure software practices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, tests, and optimizes components of large-scale distributed systems and data-plane services.
• Builds for horizontal and vertical scale with distributed state, replication, and high-volume data processing.
• Strengthens service reliability via redundancy, failover, and recovery-oriented design.
• Develops performance, load, and fault-injection tests to validate scalability and availability.
• Creates dashboards, alarms, telemetry, runbooks, and automation to detect issues and accelerate recovery.
• Diagnoses production issues, participates in on-call rotations and incident response, and contributes to durable corrective actions.
• Develops Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for safe maintenance, patching, updates, and rollbacks.
• Applies strong security controls including encryption and access controls in multi-tenant environments.
