Job summary

Oracle in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer (IC3) to design, build, and operate the OCI Product Catalog. This hands-on role spans backend services, APIs, automation, and web-based operator experiences, with end-to-end ownership from design to production.

You will work on scalable distributed systems, implement fault-tolerant patterns, build observability dashboards, and contribute to security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong Java or comparable object-oriented programming experience.
• Backend service and API development experience.
• Distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing and delivering product-quality software.
• Full-stack development experience, including modern web UI development.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of testing, observability, reliability, and operational readiness.
• Ability to independently own features from design through production.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize distributed system components for scalability.
• Develop backend services and APIs with end-to-end ownership.
• Create tests, run load tests, and monitor performance with dashboards.
• Build fault-tolerant components with redundancy and failover.
• Automate troubleshooting and maintenance with IaC scripts.
• Respond to incidents and contribute to RCAs.
