Hook, a remote-first US-based creative content agency, seeks a Senior Copywriter to ideate concepts, develop messaging strategy, and write across formats for national/global brands.

The role emphasizes guiding projects from research and pitching to delivery, balancing individual contributions with leadership, and mentoring junior staff. You will collaborate across Motion, Design, and production to ensure on-brand output.

Qualifications

• Agency or equivalent copywriting experience for national and/or global brands.
• An inspiring portfolio of work that successfully addresses complex marketing objectives.
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to navigate workstreams and effectively communicate.
• A proactive mindset towards solving client challenges and driving work forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of brand messaging and themes that succeed across mediums, formats, and campaign types with a focus on Direct Response writing.
• Lead conceptual development and pitching efforts by writing and/or directing strategically driven messaging and creative deliverables.
• Lead client-facing conversations focused on the development and refinement of campaign messaging.
• Work with producers to ensure copy is delivered on deadline and in accordance with brand standards and client criteria.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with Motion and Design, ensuring that concepts meet the requirements for all formats and mediums.
• Maintain and promote an internal awareness of industry creative trends and standards with a strong focus on narrative tone and ideation.
• Explore AI tools related to messaging, ideation, and tasks that impact client work
• Mentor and support junior creative staff toward the goal of accelerating skill progression through a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Offer the team support through creative problem-solving, process improvements, synthesizing briefs, and elevating the work, with a focus on areas other than copywriting.
