Job description

Straight North is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Copywriter to join our internal marketing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of our brand by producing compelling, high-quality content that supports our digital marketing efforts across multiple channels.

As a Senior Copywriter, you’ll work closely with our internal stakeholders to develop content that strengthens our brand presence, supports lead generation, and communicates the value of our services. From web pages and email campaigns to blog posts, ad copy, and case studies – your words will help drive Straight North’s growth and elevate our voice in the marketplace.

This is a flexible remote/office position in our Downers Grove, IL office requiring one day in the office per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with internal subject matter experts, sales leaders, and executive stakeholders to gather insights and translate them into clear, compelling marketing content.
• Write persuasive and brand-consistent copy across a variety of formats including web pages, blog articles, emails, social posts, and internal campaign materials.
• Conduct interviews and research to deeply understand service offerings, buyer personas, and market positioning.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand voice and messaging while reflecting strategic goals and input from cross-functional teams.
• Edit and proofread copy for clarity, grammar, tone, and accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Copywriter.
• Experience writing about digital marketing services, including SEO, PPC, web design, and related services.
• Proven ability to craft compelling, conversion-focused web content with a strong attention to brand voice and tone.
• A diverse portfolio showcasing high-quality website copy, landing pages, and digital campaign content.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills with a meticulous eye for grammar, structure, and clarity.
• Comfortable collaborating with subject matter experts, sales teams, and executive stakeholders to develop messaging.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
