Job summary

Kenyon College is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Engagement to work with Student Affairs staff in supporting student life across academic, residential, and cocurricular areas. The role serves as the department advisor to the campus programming board and focuses on budget oversight and event coordination.

The position involves evening/weekend duties and requires collaboration with campus offices to foster a thriving student community through programming and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with student activities and student organization financial management platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise the campus programming board and oversee weekly meetings.
• Coordinate financial processes for registered student organizations and manage expenditures around $500,000.
• Hire, train, and supervise one or more student interns and collaborate with campus offices.
• Plan, implement, and assess Welcome Week social programming and other events.
• Participate in activities as a member of the Division of Student Affairs and serve on campus committees.
